About Veterans Interior Exterior Services
Yauo Yang came to America as a refugee after his parents escaped the communist takeover in Laos after the Vietnam War. Born in a refugee camp, his family struggled to stay alive. In 1987, at the age of 7, his family was granted political asylum to come to the US and they came to live in Central WI. His family continued to live in poverty. In 2000, he graduated from Wausau West High School and went to attend UW-Stevens Point. After 9/11, Yauo wanted to serve and protect his country, so he signed up with the WI Army National Guard. From 2004-2005, he was deployed overseas to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. Stationed north of Baghdad as an infantry soldier, Yauo saw combat and was awarded the coveted “Combat Infantry Badge.” After his deployment, Yauo graduated from college and became a history teacher. In 2016, he also became a pastor where he is currently helping community members that are homeless, addicted, incarcerated and unemployed. The reason Yauo wanted to start “Veterans Interior Exterior Services” is because he wanted to continue to serve his community by providing quality services inside and outside the home.
